Job Description

Key Responsibilities

1. Operations Management

Oversee day-to-day hospital operations

Ensure smooth coordination between departments (OPD, IPD, OT, ICU, diagnostics)

Monitor patient flow and reduce waiting time

Ensure availability of medical and non-medical supplies

2. Human Resource Management

Manage recruitment, staffing, duty rosters, and attendance

Handle staff grievances and disciplinary actions

Ensure proper training, orientation, and performance appraisal

Maintain healthy work culture and staff discipline

3. Financial Management

Monitor hospital expenses and cost control

Coordinate billing, insurance, TPA, and cash flow

Prepare budgets and financial reports

Ensure revenue optimization and reduce leakages

4. Patient Care & Service Quality

Ensure patient satisfaction and service excellence

Handle patient complaints and grievances

Improve patient experience and hospitality standards

Monitor feedback and implement corrective actions

5. Compliance & Legal

Ensure compliance with NABH, clinical, and statutory regulations

Maintain licenses and renewals (Biomedical Waste, Fire, Pollution, AERB, etc.)

Ensure legal documentation and medico-legal compliance

Coordinate audits and inspections

6. Infrastructure & Facility Management

Oversee housekeeping, security, maintenance, and biomedical equipment

Ensure cleanliness, safety, and infection control

Coordinate with vendors and service providers

Ensure power backup, water supply, and emergency readiness

7. Inventory & Vendor Management

Monitor procurement and inventory control

Negotiate vendor contracts and service agreements

Prevent stock shortages and pilferage

Ensure timely vendor payments and quality checks

8. Quality & Process Improvement

Implement SOPs and hospital policies

Monitor KPIs and performance metrics

Lead quality improvement initiatives

Ensure continuous improvement in clinical and non-clinical services

9. Marketing & Business Development

Support hospital branding and promotional activities

Develop referral networks and corporate tie-ups

Monitor patient volumes and service utilization

Analyze market trends and competitor activity

10. Emergency & Risk Management

Handle emergency situations and crisis management

Ensure disaster management preparedness

Monitor patient safety and risk reduction measures

Address medico-legal and insurance-related issues
