Job Title: Home Health Coder/ Home Health Coding Domain Expert

Location: Chennai, OMR (On-Site)

Years of Experience: 3-5 Years

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Home Health Coder - Level 3 with strong expertise in OASIS, Extended OASIS, and Plan of Care (POC). The candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate ICD-10-CM coding and compliance with CMS and Home Health Coding guidelines. The role requires a high level of accuracy, analytical ability, and in-depth understanding of home health documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

1) Review and analyse OASIS, Extended OASIS, and POC documentation for accurate
ICD-10-CM code assignment.
2) Validate primary, secondary, and comorbidity diagnoses based on medical necessity.
3) Ensure compliance with CMS and OASIS-E guidelines.Identify documentation gaps and communicate with QA/clinical teams.
4) Maintain productivity and accuracy standards consistently.Stay updated on ICD-10 and Home Health coding updates.

Qualifications and skills:

1) Bachelor's degree in Life Science, Nursing, Pharmacy, Nutrition, Biotechnology, Microbiology, or related healthcare field.
2) 3-5 years of solid experience in Home Health Coding (mandatory).
3) Mandatory Expertise: OASIS, Extended OASIS, and POC.
4) Preferred Level: Level 3 Home Health Coder.

Preferred Certifications:

1) BCHH-C (Board Certified Home Health Coder)
2) HCS-D (Home Care Coding Specialist - Diagnosis)
3) CPC (Certified Professional Coder)
4) Expert knowledge of ICD-10-CM and Home Health Coding guidelines.
5) Proficiency in OASIS and Plan of Care documentation review.
6) Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills:

1) Level 3 Home Health Coding expertise.
2) Certified coder preferred (BCHH-C / HCS-D / CPC).
3) Strong knowledge of Home Health documentation and CMS guidelines.
4) Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
5) Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of engaging technical and non-technical stakeholders.
6) High accuracy, detail orientation, and time management.Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
