A dedicated and experienced Home Cook responsible for preparing nutritious, well-balanced, and delicious meals in a private household. Ensures high standards of hygiene, taste, and presentation while accommodating dietary preferences and restrictions. Plans menus, shops for ingredients, and maintains a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan daily, weekly, or monthly menus based on client/family preferences, dietary needs, and seasonal ingredients
Prepare and cook meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, including snacks and special dietary items (e.g., gluten-free, vegetarian, diabetic-friendly)
Shop for groceries and manage pantry inventory
Ensure cleanliness and organization of kitchen, appliances, and tools
Maintain food safety and hygiene standards in food handling and storage
Adapt meals based on feedback or specific requests from household members
Occasionally cater for family gatherings, small events, or holidays
Manage time effectively to ensure meals are served on schedule
Monitor food budgets and provide cost-effective meal solutions
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a cook (home, private chef, or professional setting)
Knowledge of various cuisines and cooking techniques
Ability to follow recipes and also create dishes from scratch
Good understanding of nutrition and dietary requirements
Strong organizational and time-management skills
High standards of cleanliness and food safety
Flexibility to accommodate changes in schedule or menu
Preferred:
Formal culinary training or food safety certification (optional but a plus)
Experience with meal prepping and portion control
Ability to cook for children or elderly family members
