PhD in Allied Sciences with 10 to 15 years' experience in handling HOD role or at Professor or Associate Professor level in Allied Healthcare Institution. Candidate should have research orientation and ability to drive entire Academic activities for the Department.
Administration & Leadership
Devise curriculum and be active in BOS.
Creation of workload and assessment of faculty requirement
Participate and contribute to faculty recruitment.
Time table planning.
Advice and ensure setting up of lab facility for the courses as per requirement.
Devise SOP for department specific work load.
Lead and manage the department under the direction of the Head -Academics in such a manner. that it makes a significant contribution to the operation and strategic development of the department
Represent the Department in meetings and various committees, as required.
Shall convene the departmental PTA meetings and its follow up measures.
Shall initiate effective methods to control the Absentees.
Guide the Faculty Members and Participate in all institutional activities.
Identify the Training needs for the faculty and take initiative for their proper training.
Shall facilitate the staff deployment whenever required as directed by Pro-Vice Chancellor.
Represent and promote the interests of the university to the staff under their supervision.
Ensure code of professional ethics for the support and integration of excellent teaching and learning process.
Develop and enable a supportive culture within the Department resulting in the delivery of quality results and contribute to the Faculty's development.
Develop, promote and manage the effective delivery of knowledge transfer, consultancy and other general engagement in the department.
Work with the aim for professional accreditation and other Rankings as appropriate to the discipline.
Accountable for the effective delivery of programmes, modules and activities associated with the Department.
To contribute to the Semester Planning of the Department in terms of budget forecast, procurement requirements, Manpower Forecast and Requisition
To monitor the Faculty Teaching Plans and initiate the best Teaching Practice.
Monitor the Lab staff and ensure 100% satisfaction of Students in Lab.
Responsible for periodical visit to the class and obtain students feedback.
Communicate to staff regarding the remedial procedures for unsatisfied delivery of lectures, thus initiating effective Teaching Learning process.
To communicate the University strategic goals and policy to members of the department.
To ensure that the activities of the Department are undertaken in accordance with the governance, policy and regulatory frameworks of the University.
Plan and design effective Communication channels and appropriate interaction with staff, students, Parents as appropriate to the Department. Academic Responsibility
Responsible for the daily attendance of the Students and day to day activities in its follow up process
Responsible for the effective Class Room Lectures using the teaching methodologies that is in line with the University Standards
Provide extra attention to weak students
Able to initiate and implement innovative methods of Teaching resulting in enrichment of course delivery
Responsible for the detailed and thorough Instruction in laboratories/guidance
Initiate for Curriculum Development wherever required
Developing Resource Materials and Laboratory Development
Development of laboratories, Manuals etc. Assessment & Exam Duties
Responsible for all the activities for smooth Conduct of examination
Ensure the Assessment marks are entered in the ERP on time Student Support & Professional Development
Ensure improvement in areas as per the Student Feedback
Initiate and support the Student Mentoring process of the University
Participation & Support to Students in co-curricular activities, accompanying students for Industry visits, Conduct of seminars/ workshops etc.
Research & Consultancy & Self Development
Engage in Research & Development Activities, Research/Project Guidance as per the University Set Standards.
Conduct workshops, conference and social engagement programmes to create awareness and improve academic activities of the Department.
Initiate & work for Sponsored projects of Government Agencies/ Industries etc.
Provide Consultancy as per the laid norms for the consultancy service of the University
Promote Industry Institute Interaction so that the students get better exposure
Publications in Journal/conference, Publication of Books
Participation in FDPs/Workshops & Seminars
