HOD Social Science needed for multiple branches of a reputed school in Surat, Gujarat

Qualification : BA & MA & B.ED in Social Science

Experience : 2 to 5 years as an HOD/PGT

Salary : 50k to 55k depending upon the last drawn salary and candidature

Roles & Responsibilities

• Leading and driving the Social Studies Curriculum

• Developing and implementing a coherent and progressive curriculum for the department

• Ensuring that the department\xe2\x80\x99s teaching and learning strategies are effective and engaging

• Providing leadership and guidance to the department\xe2\x80\x99s teachers

• Conducting performance appraisals and providing feedback to the members of the department

• Ensuring that the department\xe2\x80\x99s assessment practices are effective and aligned with the school\xe2\x80\x99s policies

• Ensuring that the department\xe2\x80\x99s resources are up-to-date and relevant

• Ensuring that the department\xe2\x80\x99s policies and procedures are in line with the school\xe2\x80\x99s policies

• Ensuring that the department\xe2\x80\x99s budget is managed effectively

• Ensuring that the department\xe2\x80\x99s extra-curricular activities are engaging and relevant

• Ensuring that the department\xe2\x80\x99s communication with parents and other stakeholders is effective and timely

• Ensuring that the department\xe2\x80\x99s professional development is aligned with the school\xe2\x80\x99s goals and objectives

• Ensuring that the department\xe2\x80\x99s safeguarding policies and procedures are in line with the school\xe2\x80\x99s policies
