We are looking for an experienced and inspiring
Head of Department (HOD) - Science
to lead and mentor the academic team in the Science department for middle and secondary school levels. The ideal candidate will ensure the development and implementation of an effective and innovative curriculum, while promoting a stimulating and supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee the Science department across all grades.
Develop, review, and update the curriculum to align with academic standards.
Mentor, guide, and evaluate science teachers and staff.
Organize training and professional development workshops for the science faculty.
Promote innovative teaching methods, including the use of technology and hands-on activities.
Monitor the progress of students and implement strategies to improve academic performance.
Conduct departmental meetings and collaborate with other academic heads for cross-disciplinary initiatives.
Oversee laboratory facilities and ensure safety and infrastructure standards.
Conduct science fairs, exhibitions, and events to encourage scientific curiosity.
Stay updated with the latest developments in science education and introduce best practices.
Required Skills & Competencies:
Strong subject knowledge in Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology).
Proven leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to inspire both students and teachers.
