Roles & Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the Kannada department for the secondary section. Plan, implement, and monitor the Kannada curriculum in line with board guidelines. Teach Kannada to secondary grade students and model effective teaching practices. Guide, mentor, and support Kannada teachers in lesson planning and classroom delivery. Ensure academic excellence and consistent assessment standards across classes. Review lesson plans, worksheets, assessments, and student performance regularly. Conduct departmental meetings and teacher training sessions. Support exam planning, paper setting, and evaluation processes. Monitor student progress and implement remedial and enrichment programs. Coordinate with school leadership for academic planning and curriculum development. Encourage innovative teaching methods and use of teaching aids and technology. Communicate effectively with parents regarding academic progress when required.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's/Master's degree in Kannada or related field. B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification (mandatory). Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in secondary grade. Prior experience as a subject lead or coordinator is an advantage. Strong command over Kannada language and literature. Excellent leadership, communication, and classroom management skills. Ability to mentor teachers and drive academic outcomes.
