Job Description

An HOD (Head of Department) Electrical involves leading an electrical team, overseeing design, maintenance, and operations for all electrical systems (HT/LT, power distribution, backup, automation), ensuring , managing budgets, with other departments, and for efficiency, requiring strong technical expertise, leadership, and .
Core Responsibilities:

• Leadership & Management: Lead, train, and mentor electrical engineers and technicians, managing department activities, performance, and resources.
• Technical Oversight: Oversee design, planning, installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems (switchgear, transformers, cabling, lighting, automation).
• Maintenance & Operations: Develop and implement preventive/predictive maintenance programs, troubleshoot issues, ensure uninterrupted power, and manage load balancing.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to IE Rules, CEA regulations, company policies, and strict electrical safety standards (PTW, PPE).
• Project Coordination: Collaborate with architects, other MEP teams, and management for integrated project delivery and system improvements.
• Documentation & Reporting: Prepare technical specifications, BOQs, reports, and manage audits/inspections.
• Strategic Planning: Drive energy efficiency, smart building tech, cost reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong B.Tech/Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• Deep knowledge of HT/LT systems, DG sets, power distribution, and automation.
• Experience in design, maintenance, or project management within real estate, manufacturing, or power sectors.
