We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable

History Teacher

to teach

Grades 6 and 7

under the

ICSE curriculum

. The ideal candidate will foster curiosity about history, encourage critical thinking, and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons aligned with ICSE guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

Teach

History for Grades 6 & 7

as per

ICSE syllabus and learning outcomes

Plan and deliver interactive, well-structured lesson plans Use engaging teaching methods such as storytelling, timelines, maps, visuals, and activities Prepare worksheets, assignments, projects, and assessments Conduct periodic tests and evaluate student performance Maintain accurate academic records and student progress reports Encourage inquiry-based learning and class discussions Integrate values, civic sense, and historical thinking skills Participate in parent-teacher meetings, school events, and academic planning Collaborate with other faculty members for interdisciplinary activities
Eligibility & Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in History

(B.A. History mandatory)

B.Ed.

is preferred (mandatory for CBSE schools) Familiarity with

CBSE curriculum and assessment patterns

Prior teaching experience at middle school level (Grades 6-8) preferred
Skills & Competencies

Strong subject knowledge Excellent communication and classroom management skills Ability to explain concepts clearly to middle school students Proficiency in using teaching aids and basic digital tools Student-centric and activity-based teaching approach
