About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Poultry Sales & Marketing Manager to lead and expand our business in the poultry segment. The ideal candidate will have strong industry relationships, technical understanding of poultry health & nutrition, and a proven track record in sales, marketing, and customer engagement.
This is a dynamic, field-driven role requiring frequent travel, technical discussions, hands-on support, and end-to-end management of sales and market development activities pertaining to feed mills, poultry distributors, integrators, and farms etc.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales & Business Development

  • Visit and generate sales from poultry farms, poultry integrators, feed manufacturers, and poultry health & nutrition companies.
  • Identify new business opportunities and expand market reach across assigned regions.
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Manage distributor networks, sales pipelines, and account follow-ups.
2. Technical Support & Customer Engagement
  • Provide technical guidance on product usage, formulations, and performance.
  • Conduct on-field product trials, performance reviews, and result documentation.
  • Offer troubleshooting support related to product performance, application, and farm management.
  • Build strong customer relationships through consistent communication and service excellence.
3. Marketing & Brand Development
  • Prepare and deliver product presentations, training programs, and technical seminars.
  • Develop and manage product brochures, technical literature, and marketing content.
  • Organize or coordinate local trade shows, dealer meets, farmer gatherings, and workshops.
  • Evaluate industry exhibitions and lead the company's participation -- including booth planning, branding, logistics, and post-event follow-ups.
4. Digital & Online Lead Management
  • Monitor, respond to, and close online enquiries via email, website forms, and third-party platforms.
  • Support digital marketing efforts by providing content, field insights, and customer feedback.
5. Coordination With Universities, Labs & R&D Partners
  • Liaise with universities, research partners, and institutions conducting product trials or validation studies.
  • Coordinate with laboratories to ensure testing reports are accurate, timely, and aligned with client requirements.
  • Assist in generating trial protocols, sample submissions, and performance summaries.
6. Market Intelligence & Strategy
  • Track competitor activities, pricing trends, new product launches, and customer preferences.
  • Provide structured market reports to management for strategic planning.
  • Suggest product improvements, new product ideas, and promotional strategies based on field insights.
7. Administrative & Reporting Responsibilities
  • Maintain records of customer visits, sales performance, trial data, and market feedback.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly reports, sales forecasts, and activity updates.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical sales practices, and regulatory guidelines.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Minimum 5 years of experience in poultry sales, animal nutrition, veterinary pharmaceuticals, feed additives, or related sectors.
  • Strong technical understanding of poultry health, nutrition, and farm management.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to conduct training, workshops, and field trials independently.
Comfortable with frequent travel and fieldwork.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, and digital communication platforms.
  • Strong negotiation and contract-closing abilities.
  • Self-driven, result-oriented, and capable of working with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Animal Science, Veterinary Science, Poultry Science, Agriculture, Biotechnology, or related fields.
  • MBA in Marketing (added advantage).
  • Established network within the poultry industry.
