Hiring for Solaris Admin - Mumbai
Required Skills & Qualifications:
2+ years of hands-on experience with Solaris 10/11 administration.
Solid understanding of Solaris operating system architecture, file systems, and boot process.
Proficient in using Solaris command-line utilities, including but not limited to prtdiag, iostat, vmstat, netstat, and top.
Experience in Solaris Zones and ZFS (Zettabyte File System) management.
Strong knowledge of backup and disaster recovery procedures.
Basic experience with networking in Solaris environments, including DNS, NFS, and routing.
Familiarity with shell scripting (bash, ksh) for automation and task management.
Knowledge of storage management and understanding of disk arrays, SAN, and LVM (Logical Volume Management).
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Solaris Cluster for high availability and disaster recovery.
Familiarity with monitoring tools like Nagios, Solaris SMF (Service Management Facility), or similar.
Basic experience with other operating systems such as Linux or AIX.
