Key Responsibilities:
Regulatory Oversight:
Ensure adherence to government regulations including RTE Act, POCSO Act, Juvenile Justice Act, and
applicable education board rules.
Child Safety & Protection:
Oversee implementation of Child Protection Policy; ensure all staff are trained on POCSO and child safety
protocols.
Internal Reviews & Compliance Assessments
Conduct regular internal reviews of school operations, infrastructure, staff conduct, and student services
to identify and correct compliance issues.
Risk Management:
Identify potential operational and safety risks; develop mitigation plans and monitor implementation to ensure a safe environment for students and staff.
Crisis Management:
Lead emergency preparedness and response protocols for incidents including health, safety, or reputational threats; coordinate crisis drills and incident handling.
Administrative Work:
Support school administration in compliance-related documentation, licensing, facility management, and
record-keeping to ensure smooth operations.
Operational Oversight:
Supervise and coordinate with departments handling accounts and finance, procurement and inventory,
kitchen operations, repair and maintenance, student medical care, admissions, MEP (Mechanical,
Electrical, and Plumbing), IT, and government liaison activities
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain proper documentation for audits, inspections, and reports required by statutory bodies and
funding agencies.
Policy Enforcement:
Ensure implementation and periodic review of policies related to discipline, grievances, anti-bullying, and
staff behavior.
Stakeholder Coordination:
Act as liaison with government departments, school management, NGOs, and local community regarding
compliance-related concerns.
Training & Capacity Building:
Organize awareness programs for staff and students on legal compliance, ethics, child rights, and gender
sensitivity.
Qualifications & Skills:
? Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, Law, Public Administration, or a related field.
? 10+ years of experience in school administration, compliance, or NGO settings--preferably in
child welfare or education.
? Strong understanding of legal frameworks affecting residential schools and child rights.
? Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
? Ability to work with sensitivity in diverse and vulnerable student populations.
? Sensitivity to the needs of vulnerable student populations in residential settings.
