Adolescents equipped with the ability to make informed life choices. Such children will have subject knowledge, self-learning skills, creativity and "agency" - an ability to engage with the world as children today and for their livelihood tomorrow.
The Social and Emotional Learning program for adolescents focuses on challenges faced by them as they are learning to handle new demands in their academic and social life while dealing with new, intense emotions (both positive and negative). Lighthouse Kiran aims to create an environment in which individuals feel secure, have a sense of well-being and are empowered to drive their own learning. Educational attainment will help them develop their core competencies, build agency, decrease drop out rate and increase their focus on livelihood.

Roles and responsibilities:
To mobilize adolescents from the slum communities and build healthy relationships with these communities.
To be a role model and explain the program and its benefits to the adolescents and their parents from these communities.
Outreach in the community and at budget private schools and junior colleges.
Ensure maximum enrolment of the adolescents adhering to the enrolment criteria as per the program objective.
Build a one-to-one connection with the adolescents and ensure their attendance and continued association with the Lighthouse till the end of the program and beyond, as required.
Visit the students at their respective houses as and when required.
Mapping of the households/communities using GIS or Google Maps.
Coordination with various stakeholders, including Government officials and others within the Lighthouse ecosystem to enable timely visits to the Center.
To imbibe, maintain and contribute to the Lighthouse culture and uphold the safe place image of the Center.
Maintaining the student data of the batches.
Supporting the rest of the team members as and when required.
Preferred Skill sets, Years of Experience, Professional Background:
MSW or Post Graduation in any field, with minimum 1-2 years of experience, preferably in the mobilization in the communities.
Computer proficiency- MS Office and GIS Mapping (good to have)
Deep empathy and a strong commitment towards youth's development and growth
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, Hindi, and Marathi.
Ability to handle difficult situations with confidence and wisdom.
Open to travel.
