Job Summary

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated

Outreach Coordinator

to join our team and help mobilize youth from underserved communities. In this role, you will actively engage with community members, raise awareness about our skilling and livelihood programs, and support young individuals throughout their journey at Lighthouse. Your work will be central to building trust, increasing participation, and transforming lives.

Key Responsibilities

Build strong relationships with youth and families in slum and low-income communities. Conduct outreach activities to promote Lighthouse programs and communicate their value to potential participants and guardians. Drive enrolments at the Centre by identifying eligible youth and ensuring they meet program criteria. Maintain regular contact with enrolled youth to encourage attendance, retention, and long-term engagement. Conduct home visits, when necessary, to provide support and deepen community trust. Assist with community and household mapping using tools like

GIS

or

Google Maps

. Collaborate with local stakeholders, including community leaders and government officials, to facilitate outreach and Centre activities. Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and empowering environment aligned with Lighthouse's values. Support cross-functional team efforts and participate in Centre-level events and initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills

Postgraduate degree in

Social Work (MSW)

or a relevant field.

2-4 years

of experience in community outreach or mobilization, preferably in the youth development or skilling sector. Strong communication skills in

English, Hindi, and Marathi

(verbal and written). Basic proficiency in

MS Office

; experience with

GIS mapping

is an added advantage. Demonstrated empathy, integrity, and a deep commitment to youth empowerment. Proactive, confident, and solution-oriented with the ability to work independently and in a team. Willingness to travel within assigned communities as needed.
