Job Description

1. Main Objectives of this position:
\xc2\xb7 Lead and develop AP, AR, GL, treasury and IT
\xc2\xb7 Manage finance for 9 countries.
\xc2\xb7 Record the financial status and monitor the development of the company from a management and financial accounting point of view.
2. Function and duties:
Areas of responsibility
\xc2\xb7 Maanage Finance & Accounting for company ensuring deadlines are met
\xc2\xb7 Calculate, prepare and analyze actual results and forecasts for the Areas
\xc2\xb7 Support management on assigned tasks, presentations and special projects
\xc2\xb7 Prepare and analyze financial operating data in a timely fashion, enabling management to make sound business decisions
\xc2\xb7 Enhance organization efficiency through support of key processes and systems
\xc2\xb7 Reporting of Operational Budget & Actual Cost.
\xc2\xb7 Ensuring Vendor payments within approved Credit terms ensuring DPO targets are achieved
\xc2\xb7 Payment Verification
\xc2\xb7 Ensure various local / Group compliances
\xc2\xb7 Ensuring Audits are handled professionally
AP/AR/GL
1. Manage AP / AR / GL functions for all entities under control to ensure suitable monitoring mechanism for all tasks as per SOPs
2. Enhance organizational efficiency through processes and systems usage. Facilitate continual improvement in accounting processes to bring out efficiencies within teams and to lead to overall maturity of the sub-function
3. Ensure necessary controls/ control environment are in place as well as monitoring thereof for smooth functioning of all accounting processes
4. Provide assurance on monthly reporting to RME for financials and explanations thereon
5. Support management in strategic decision-making by sharing suitable analysis and information
6. Manage budgeting and forecasting process
7. Participate in projects and management initiatives for strategic development
IT
1. Manage IT Team
2. Ensure Budgets and Actuals are maintained
Team management
1. Select, train, develop and motivate the team to ensure best-in-class performance
2. Create plan for back-ups, succession within the team
3. Ensure suitable process in place to track and measure performance of the team(s) and individuals
3. Qualifications and Technical Job Requirements:
1. Minimum professional qualification in accounting with good academic track record
2. Good understanding of accounting standards, especially IFRS
3. Minimum 15 years of experience, preferably in shipping industry
4. Proven experienced in team management
5. Exposure to ERP environment, with minimum 2 years of experience in SAP
6. Strong excel skills
