Role Overview



We are seeking a

detail-oriented and experienced Assistant Manager - Business Development

to lead the

end-to-end proposal, bid preparation, and tendering process

for construction and engineering consulting projects.

The ideal candidate should have

hands-on experience in Government projects, tender documentation, and working with contractors

. This role involves managing

proposal submissions, procurement monitoring, inter-departmental coordination, and client engagement

to ensure compliance and timely delivery of high-quality bids.

Key Responsibilities



1. Proposal Development & Bid Preparation



Prepare and submit

high-quality proposals, bids, and tender documents

in line with RFP requirements. Draft

technical and commercial bids

ensuring compliance with Government tender guidelines.

2. Government Projects & Tender Documentation



Handle

Government project proposals, e-tendering processes, and contract documentation

. Ensure accuracy in technical submissions, pre-qualification documents, and supporting certifications.

3. Inter-Departmental Collaboration



Coordinate with

technical, finance, HR, legal, and operations teams

to gather necessary inputs. Compile company credentials, financial data, and legal documents for tenders.

4. Procurement Monitoring



Track and monitor relevant

tender portals (CPPP, GeM, ADB, World Bank, etc.)

. Evaluate opportunities and contribute to

Go/No-Go decision-making

.

5. Proposal Management Tools



Maintain and update

tender logs, Go/No-Go sheets, proposal trackers, and archives

. Build and manage a central repository of

templates, past proposals, and case studies

.

6. Client & Stakeholder Engagement



Attend

pre-bid meetings, client discussions, and presentations

as required. Collaborate with contractors, stakeholders, and internal teams for smooth execution.

7. Compliance & Problem Solving



Ensure

compliance with tender requirements, government norms, and procurement rules

. Identify gaps in the bidding process and propose solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications



Bachelor's degree in

Business Administration, Engineering, or related field

(Master's preferred).

Minimum 5 years of experience

in

proposal writing, bid preparation, and tender documentation

. Must have worked on

Government projects and with contractors

. Strong knowledge of

procurement portals (CPPP, GeM, ADB, World Bank, etc.)

. Proficiency in

MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

. Excellent

analytical, organizational, and communication skills

.

Fluency in English & Kannada

(mandatory).
