The Highway Engineer is responsible for the planning, design, execution, and maintenance of highway and road infrastructure projects. The role ensures compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and project timelines, while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Planning:
Prepare geometric designs, pavement structures, drainage layouts, and alignment plans.
Review drawings, specifications, and construction documents to meet IRC, MoRTH, AASHTO, and other relevant codes.
Project Execution:
Oversee site surveys, geotechnical investigations, and topographical studies.
Monitor construction activities to ensure quality, safety, and adherence to project specifications.
Quality & Compliance:
Conduct inspections and quality control tests for materials such as bitumen, concrete, and aggregates.
Ensure environmental and safety standards are implemented on site.
Coordination & Reporting:
Collaborate with contractors, consultants, and government agencies for approvals and clearances.
Prepare progress reports, cost estimates, and project documentation.
Maintenance & Upgrades:
Recommend and supervise highway maintenance works, rehabilitation, and pavement management programs.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's in Transportation/Highway Engineering preferred).
Experience
3-5 years of experience in highway/roadway projects (planning, design, and construction).
Knowledge of highway design software such as MX Road, Civil 3D, or Open Roads.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
