The Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end Downstream process of jewellery manufacturing Neckwear set Products. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of jewellery production, strong vendor management skills, and a keen eye for detail to ensure the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.
Production Oversight:
o Supervise the production of Kolkata Manufacturing Center (Fixed Cost Centre) rolled up with Cluster 2.
o Develop and implement production schedules to meet Planning demands while optimizing lead times and resource utilization.
o Coordinate with NPD team and craftsmen to produce intricate and high-value pieces..
o Conduct regular performance evaluations of production staff and provide coaching and feedback to improve employee efficiency and skill development.
Delivery:
o Implement production plans and ensure delivery adherence to production standards and procedures.
o Collaborate with other departments such as NPD, Planning, Upstream and downstream and quality control to coordinate production activities and resolve any issues that may arise.
o Analyse production data and lead time metrics to assess performance and identify opportunities for optimization.
Quality Assurance:
o Implement and maintain rigorous quality control measures to guarantee the highest standards in finished products like High-end Neckwear sets.
o Collaborate with the quality control team to conduct regular inspections and address any issues affecting product.
o Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in all production activities.
Cost Management & Inventory:
o Monitor production costs and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
o Manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods to support production schedules and minimize excess inventory.
o Implement strategies to enhance productivity, reduce gold removal, and improve overall efficiency in the production process.

Work Experience
Education
o BE Mechanical / Production Engineering
o Minimum of 10 years of experience in jewellery manufacturing and sourcing, particularly with high-value products.
Relevant Experience
o Proven experience in jewellery production management or a similar role within the jewellery industry.
o In-depth knowledge of High Value jewellery production techniques and materials.
o Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
