Prathiba High School is looking for a passionate and dedicated

female Social Studies Teacher

to teach students in

grades 6 through 10

. The ideal candidate has 1 to 3 years of teaching experience and is committed to fostering critical thinking, historical inquiry, and civic understanding in young learners. You'll play a key role in helping students develop a deeper understanding of history, geography, political systems, and global cultures.

Key Responsibilities:

Teach Social Studies subjects (History, Geography, Civics, etc.) for grades 6 to 10 Design and deliver interactive and age-appropriate lesson plans Foster a classroom culture of curiosity, respect, and inclusion Use a variety of teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles Assess and report on student progress through tests, projects, and class participation Maintain classroom discipline and ensure a safe learning environment Participate in parent-teacher meetings, school events, and faculty collaboration Integrate technology and real-world connections into the curriculum Stay updated with current educational trends and subject matter

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Studies, History, or related field (required) Valid teaching license/certification (as per local/state regulations) 1-3 years of classroom teaching experience, preferably with middle or high school students Excellent communication and classroom management skills Enthusiastic, responsible, and student-focused

Preferred Skills:

Experience with curriculum design and interdisciplinary teaching Familiarity with digital tools like Google Classroom, Smartboards, or similar Ability to connect historical content to current events and real-life applications Team-player with a collaborative mindset
