Job Purpose

Shall be responsible for one of the Manufacturing locations to lead HSE function.

Job Responsibility

? Conduct routine safety rounds in plant areas and identify unsafe acts and conditions.
? Ensure all workers are using appropriate PPE as per job and area requirements.
? Monitor housekeeping, spillages, and waste disposal in compliance with 5S and ISO 45001 standards.
? Support control of entry into height work, hot work areas and confined spaces.
? Conduct toolbox talks and pre-job briefings to communicate task-specific hazards and controls.
? Monitor contractor compliance with safety norms, PPE usage, and site rules.
? Report violations or near-miss incidents immediately to the Safety Officer.
? Record daily safety observations and prepare checklists.
? Support incident/near-miss investigation by providing factual inputs and photographic evidence.
? Maintain records of PPE issue and inspection checklists.
? Assist in issuing, verifying, and closing Permit to work for high-risk activities such as hot work, height work and electrical isolation.
? Ensure that barricading, signage, and safety precautions are in place before starting the job.
? Act as a first responder during incidents or emergencies.
? Participate in safety induction and refresher training sessions.
? Encourage workers to report unsafe acts and suggest safety improvements.
? Display and maintain safety posters and visual aids in work areas.
? Assist in maintaining fire extinguishers, first-aid boxes, and emergency equipment in operational condition.
? Support mock drills and evacuation exercises.



Qualification

ITI/Diploma/Science Graduate with Industrial Safety certification







Experience

2-3 Years in Plant safety or EHS supervision preferably in manufacturing/recycling/chemical sectors.

Required knowledge/ competencies

? Knowledge of industrial safety rules and regulations.
? Familiarity with Permit system and basic hazard identification
? Good communication skills to engage shopfloor and contractor workers
? Alertness, discipline, and teamwork and basic computer literacy
