Job Purpose:

To safely operate heavy commercial vehicles for transporting goods, raw materials, or equipment as per operational requirements, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to all road and company safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate heavy vehicles (e.g., trucks, tankers, tippers) to transport goods to and from designated locations. Perform daily vehicle inspection and report any maintenance or repair needs. Maintain proper documentation including logbook, delivery challans, and fuel usage. Ensure loading and unloading of materials are done safely and efficiently. Follow assigned routes and schedules with punctuality. Comply with all traffic rules, safety protocols, and company policies. Assist logistics or plant staff in minor material handling when needed. Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the vehicle.

Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum 8th or 10th pass (preferred). Valid Heavy Vehicle Driving License (LMV + HMV / Transport badge mandatory). Minimum 3 years of experience driving heavy vehicles, preferably in an industrial or logistics environment. Familiarity with Kerala road routes and basic mechanical knowledge.

Skills Required:

Safe driving skills and attention to road safety. Physical fitness and stamina for long hours. Basic communication skills in Malayalam or Hindi. Ability to follow instructions and handle emergency situations calmly.

Working Conditions:

Shift-based work may be applicable. Exposure to outdoor conditions and long driving hours. Occasional overnight travel depending on logistics needs.
