Position Overview
Ziraya is looking for an experienced Sales Trainer - Insurance to design, deliver, and
evaluate training programs for our insurance sales teams. The role focuses on enhancing
product knowledge, sales effectiveness, compliance understanding, and overall productivity
across field and tele-sales teams. Candidates must have hands-on experience in insurance
sales or sales training.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
1. Training Design & Development
Develop customized training modules for Life, Health, and General Insurance.
Create structured onboarding programs for new sales hires.
Prepare sales scripts, pitch decks, role-plays, and training materials.
Develop refresher training programs based on performance gaps.
Ensure all content aligns with IRDAI compliance guidelines.
2. Training Delivery
Conduct virtual, classroom, and on-field training sessions.
Train teams on prospecting, presentations, objection handling, cross-selling, and
closing techniques.
Deliver product-specific and regulatory training.
Facilitate role-plays, mock calls, and case-study-based learning.
Offer one-on-one coaching as needed.
3. Performance Monitoring & Evaluation
Track post-training performance using sales KPIs.
Conduct assessments, certification tests, and knowledge evaluations.
Maintain MIS, attendance records, and audit reports.
Share insights on skill gaps and areas of improvement with leadership.
4. Collaboration & Coordinationo Work closely with Sales Managers, Branch Heads, and Product Teams.
Align training schedules with business priorities and sales campaigns.
Coordinate with HR for onboarding and logistics.
Participate in sales strategy discussions.
5. Field Support & Coaching
Conduct joint field visits for observing and coaching sales behavior.
Support teams during client meetings.
Train on need analysis, relationship building, and customer retention.
6. Compliance & Quality Assurance
Ensure training content meets IRDAI and company compliance standards.
Provide training on ethical selling, accuracy in documentation, and compliance
protocols.
Conduct periodic audits of sales interactions and processes.
Candidate Requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, or related fields (MBA
preferred).
Must have experience in insurance sales or training.
Experience
1-3 years of experience in insurance sales or sales training.
Experience with life, health, or general insurance products.
Proven ability to train and upskill sales teams.
Skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strong insurance domain knowledge and sales expertise.
Ability to analyze performance data and design interventions.
Proficiency in MS Office, LMS, and training tools.
Coaching and mentoring mindset.
