Job Description

Patient Support & Advocacy:

Providing ongoing support to patients and their families, developing individualized care plans, and helping them understand and navigate their medical conditions and treatment options.

Program Management:

Overseeing therapy and patient support programs, implementing continuous improvement initiatives, and providing guidance to counseling staff.

Healthcare Coordination:

Working collaboratively with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare providers to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive approach to patient care.

Regulatory Compliance:

Ensuring all patient-related activities, documentation, and programs adhere to healthcare regulations and ethical standards.

Record Keeping:

Maintaining accurate, detailed, and confidential patient records and progress reports.

Patient Education:

Informing patients about their conditions, treatment procedures, and healthy coping mechanisms.

Leadership & Development:

Supervising and supporting counseling teams, and conducting professional development for staff.

Key Qualifications & Skills



Education:

A Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field or equivalent experience.

Experience:

A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a therapeutic, counseling, or healthcare support setting.

Licensure/Certification:

Required state-specific licensure or certification in a relevant healthcare discipline.

Communication:

Excellent interpersonal, active listening, and communication skills are essential for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare teams.

Collaboration:

Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and coordinate care with other healthcare professionals.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in patient record-keeping and familiarity with medical practice management software is often required.

Clinical Knowledge:

Strong understanding of medical terminology, clinical practices, and current research in healthcare and mental health
