Key Responsibilities

Assessment & Diagnosis

: Conduct interviews and observations to evaluate mental health needs, diagnose conditions (e.g., depression, anxiety, trauma).

Treatment Planning

: Create and regularly update individualized treatment plans with specific goals for clients.

Counseling & Therapy

: Provide one-on-one or group sessions, using techniques like CBT, to help clients process issues and develop coping strategies.

Client Education

: Teach patients about mental wellness, relapse prevention, and healthy life skills.

Collaboration

: Liaise with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare providers for integrated care.

Documentation

: Maintain detailed, confidential records of client progress and interventions.

Crisis Management

: Handle immediate crises and provide support for patients in distress.

Referrals

: Connect clients with external resources, support groups, or specialized services as needed.
