Health Care Assitant
Job Description
:
. Assists staff nurse with the following:
a. Delivery of patient care including hygiene, skin care and incontinence care.
b. Admission, discharge and transfer of patients.
c. Implementation of programs to improve the quality of care delivered to patients.
d. Collection of data for patient care practices.
2. Performs the following nursing activities under the direction of a licensed staff nurse:
a. Assists stable, oriented and ambulatory patients with the activities of daily living.
b. Assists in positioning patient using appropriate lifting techniques.
c. Assists patient for feeding.
3. Reports changes in patients' condition to the staff nurse.
4. Transport stable patients safely.
5. Maintains patients' privacy and confidentiality at all times.
