Job Summary

We are looking for a Junior Safety Officer to support the implementation and monitoring of safety, health, and environmental (EHS) practices at the plant/site. The role involves assisting senior safety personnel in ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and maintaining a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in implementing safety policies, procedures, and work instructions at the plant/site. Conduct daily safety inspections and identify unsafe acts and conditions. Support toolbox talks, safety inductions, and training programs for employees and contractors. Monitor usage of PPE and ensure adherence to safety norms. Assist in accident/incident reporting, investigation, and documentation. Maintain safety records, permits, and statutory documentation. Support emergency preparedness drills and safety audits. Coordinate with operations and maintenance teams to promote safe work practices. Ensure compliance with company safety standards and statutory requirements.
Required Qualifications

Diploma / Degree in Safety, Industrial Safety, or related field. Certification such as ADIS / NEBOSH / IOSH (preferred or mandatory as applicable). Basic knowledge of safety rules, PPE, and hazard identification.
Skills & Competencies

Good observation and reporting skills. Basic knowledge of safety regulations and procedures. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in plant / site environments. Willingness to work in shifts or extended hours if required. Proactive attitude toward safety and learning.
Preferred Attributes

Experience in manufacturing, construction, or industrial environments. Familiarity with ISO 45001 / EHS systems. Freshers with safety qualifications may also apply.
