Position Overview




The Head - Workforce Strategy & Deployment will lead the design and governance of Blue Dart's national workforce deployment framework for outsourced staffing. The role will focus on contract standardization, incentive models, gig workforce structures, and deployment forecasting. It will ensure sufficiency, productivity, and cost efficiency across the outsourced manpower base nationally.

Job Purpose




To create and implement a sustainable, standardized, and scalable workforce deployment model that ensures sufficiency and productivity across Blue Dart's operations while driving economies of scale.

Key Roles & Responsibilities




Workforce Strategy & Standardization

Develop and roll out standardized staffing contracts. Ensure consistency in terms, SLAs, and compliance frameworks. Consolidate vendor partnerships for economies of scale.

Incentives & Engagement

Build gamified pay and incentive models to drive productivity. Monitor adoption and impact of engagement models. Benchmark against best practices in e-commerce logistics.

Forecasting & Deployment

Design forecasting models to predict manpower needs. Enable flexible staffing models for peak/lean cycles. Partner with regional teams for sufficiency.

Technology Enablement

Collaborate with IT to deploy sourcing and onboarding platforms. Ensure digital integration of manpower data for governance.

Governance & Compliance

Drive vendor compliance audits. Ensure adherence to labour law and contractual obligations. Monitor vendor performance dashboards.

Leadership

Mentor and guide the Senior Manager - Operations Staffing Deployment. Drive cross-functional collaboration with HR, Legal, and Finance.

Qualifications & Experience




Education:

Graduate in any stream Business or Operations Management preferred Postgraduate qualification preferred.

Experience:

12-15 years in workforce deployment or vendor governance. Experience with large-scale manpower operations. Proven cost efficiency and productivity improvements.

Skills & Capabilities




Technical Skills:

Strong knowledge of manpower models and gig workforce practices. Expertise in contract negotiation and compliance. Familiarity with incentive design and gamification.

Key Competencies:

Strong leadership and influencing skills. Data-driven decision-making. Analytical and forecasting capability. Change management ability.
