Your leadership in the
pret couture
segment, proactive coordination with tailors, designers, and external brands, and a strategic approach to in-store label curation will be key to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Styling & Experience
Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with customers, providing personalised styling advice and fitting guidance.
Greet clients warmly on entry and guide them to the relevant sections or collections based on their preferences.
Assist customers with outfit selection, customization, and after-sales services to ensure a seamless end-to-end experience.
Take customer measurements for alterations slips in coordination with tailors and ensure accuracy.
Provide thoughtful styling tips and fit suggestions aligned with the brand's aesthetic and customer needs.
Merchandising & Label Curation
Curate and maintain a well-balanced, trend-forward merchandise mix that reflects the brand's luxury positioning.
Collaborate with the brand team to identify and onboard new labels that align with the brand aesthetic and have high-margin potential.
Conduct regular market research to stay up-to-date with emerging designers and product categories that could enhance the store's appeal.
Negotiate with partner brands for favourable terms, including margins, exclusivity, and delivery timelines.
Ensure inventory levels and assortment planning are optimised for customer demand and seasonal trends.
Provide sales and performance feedback to design/merchandising teams to influence future buys and collaborations.
Assist in periodic buying trips or virtual showrooms to select collections for upcoming seasons.
Customisation & Alterations Management
Act as the point of contact for all custom orders and alteration requests.
Maintain the alterations register and track the timely delivery of customised products (sarees, lehengas, gowns, etc.).
Coordinate with tailors regarding required materials and ensure their timely procurement and delivery.
Ensure that all customisation and alteration tasks are completed to the highest quality and delivered as per committed timelines.
Sales & Team Support
Support the sales team during busy hours or special client visits, contributing to conversions and upselling opportunities.
Assist with after-sales services including client follow-ups and satisfaction checks.
Guide and supervise in-store assistants/maids in supporting client trials and store presentation.
Visual Merchandising & Store Aesthetic
Lead the styling and upkeep of visual displays, ensuring mannequins are dressed as per seasonal themes and brand campaigns.
Maintain an elegant, trend-aligned, and organised visual merchandising layout in collaboration with the sales team.
Refresh mannequin looks and rack displays regularly to reflect new arrivals and key styles.
Pret Couture Oversight
Head the pret couture section of the store, ensuring the collection is presented attractively and promoted effectively.
Monitor client feedback on pret lines and communicate relevant insights to the design and merchandising teams.
Brand Liaison & Travel
Represent the brand during domestic travel to meet partner brands and explore onboarding opportunities.
Liaise with external stakeholders for specific sourcing, collaborations, or event-based requirements related to styling and product needs.
Qualifications + Requirements
Proven experience in fashion styling, luxury retail, merchandising, or personal shopping (3-6 years preferred).
Strong eye for detail, colour coordination, and trend awareness.
Understanding of tailoring, garment construction, and the customisation process.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build rapport with a discerning clientele. Female candidates only.
Hands-on knowledge of visual merchandising principles and store display techniques. Experience with Shopify and E-Commerce requirements.
Experience in label sourcing, retail buying, or brand onboarding is a strong plus.
Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple responsibilities with ease.
Willingness to travel domestically for brand meetings or styling assignments.
Located in Pune and available for a face to face interview
