Position: Sales Head (Billets, TMT Bars, Sponge Iron)Location: Odisha, Bihar, Jharkhand & UPExperience: 12 - 15 years in Sales of Steel Products (Billets, TMT Bars, Sponge Iron)Qualification: MBA (Marketing) or Any Graduate with relevant industry experience. Role Overview :-The Sales Head will be responsible for leading and managing the domestic sales and marketing operations of steel products such as Billets, TMT Bars, and Sponge Iron. The position involves developing sales strategies, expanding market presence, managing key customer relationships, and achieving revenue and profitability targets. The ideal candidate should possess deep understanding of the steel market dynamics in Eastern India, particularly in Jharkhand, Odisha, Bihar, and West Bengal regions. Key Responsibilities :-1. Sales & Business Development:- Develop and execute effective sales strategies for Billets, TMT Bars, and Sponge Iron.- Identify new business opportunities and expand customer base across eastern and central India.- Establish and manage dealer/distributor networks for retail and institutional sales.- Maintain close relationships with rolling mills, fabricators, construction companies, and traders.2. Market Intelligence & Pricing:- Monitor market trends, competitor pricing, and demand-supply scenarios.- Recommend dynamic pricing strategies aligned with market fluctuations and plant profitability.- Gather and analyze customer feedback to improve product positioning.3. Customer Relationship Management- Manage key accounts, ensure customer satisfaction, and address grievances promptly.- Negotiate long-term supply contracts with institutional buyers and bulk consumers.- Coordinate with logistics and dispatch teams to ensure on-time deliveries.4. Team Leadership- Lead, motivate, and train a team of sales executives and area managers.- Set performance targets and monitor achievement through regular reviews.5. Coordination & Reporting- Work closely with production, marketing, finance, and dispatch departments to align sales with plant capacity and stock availability.- Prepare weekly/monthly MIS reports on sales volume, revenue, market share, and outstanding payments.- Provide periodic updates to management on market developments and competitor activities. Key Skills & Competencies- In-depth knowledge of Billets, TMT Bars, and Sponge Iron markets.- Strong negotiation, communication, and networking skills.- Ability to manage both B2B and B2C sales channels.- Experience in dealer management, institutional sales, and channel development.- Proficiency in MS Excel, CRM tools, and ERP systems.- Excellent leadership and analytical decision-making abilities. Performance Indicators (KPIs)- Achievement of sales volume and revenue targets.- Market share growth in Jharkhand and neighboring regions.- Dealer satisfaction and retention rate.- Payment collection efficiency and reduction in outstanding dues.- Contribution to overall plant profitability.
