Key responsibilities:

+ Lead the process engineering department and ensure accuracy in process engineering deliverables. + Review and guide the process technology team for

Block Flow Diagrams (BFDs)

,

Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs)

, and

Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)

.
+ Responsible for

process estimate of cost estimation

, budget preparation, and project feasibility analysis.
+ Serve as the

primary technical liaison with the Germany-based technology team

for knowledge transfer, technical inputs, and collaboration on assigned projects.
+ Drive

process improvement initiatives

across the plant, with a focus on efficiency, sustainability, and scalability.
+ Participate in

laboratory-scale process development and experimental trials

, supporting scale-up and commercialization.
+ Ensure that

Hazop studies

are systematically conducted to mitigate risk and ensure operational safety.
+

Project management

--from basic engineering through involvement in procurement, erection, commissioning, and handover--ensuring adherence to timelines and budget constraints.
+ Conduct

regular project reviews

to monitor progress, resolve bottlenecks, and ensure alignment with overall objectives.
+ Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in

thermal design

of equipment such as

shell & tube heat exchangers, distillation columns, absorbers, and condensers

.
+ Familiarity with

project management tools

such as

MS Project

/

MS Office suite

(Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Requirements

Key

Job Requirements

B.E/B. Tech in

Chemical Engineering

from a recognized and prestigious institute.

15 years+ of relevant industry experience

in chemical industry; with a

proven track record of handling process function, process improvement projects, Design projects, cost saving initiatives, process safety improvement projects

--within chemical or process-intensive industries. Proven ability to

independently manage a team

, including coordination with other engineering discipline for plant layout and detailing. Excellent interpersonnal and communication skills with the ability to influence and lead teams and peers. Should be able to demonstrate stability and in-depth contribution. Must be able to understand Production / Operations activities and be ready for future roles in production/operations
