Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the
global pricing strategy
for air freight, ocean freight (FCL/LCL), and inland transportation.
Develop competitive and profitable pricing models aligned with market trends and company objectives.
Handle
rate negotiations
with shipping lines, airlines, NVOCCs, agents, and vendors.
Oversee
RFQs, tenders, and contract pricing
for key global and regional customers.
Collaborate closely with
sales, operations, and procurement teams
to support business growth.
Monitor market trends, competitor pricing, and trade lane performance to optimize margins.
Ensure accurate and timely submission of pricing quotes and customer proposals.
Build, lead, and mentor a
pricing team
, ensuring high performance and continuous improvement.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with global partners and agents.
Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and internal approval processes.
Prepare pricing reports, margin analysis, and performance dashboards for management review.
Support strategic initiatives such as new trade lanes, product launches, and key customer onboarding.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum
5-7 years of experience
in pricing within
Global Freight Forwarding
.
Proven experience in
leadership or team-handling roles
.
Strong knowledge of international logistics, Incoterms, freight costing, and trade lanes.
Experience with
GCC-based freight forwarding companies
will be a strong added advantage.
Excellent command of
Hindi and English
(spoken and written).
Strong negotiation, analytical, and decision-making skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Proficiency in MS Excel, pricing tools, and freight management systems.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-focused mindset.
Preferred Skills:
Experience handling high-volume and multinational accounts.
Understanding of freight forwarding documentation and customs processes.
Exposure to global contracts, long-term pricing agreements, and key account support.
Strategic thinking with a results-driven approach.
