JOB DETAILS:
Position: - Head Power Plant- Core Maintenance & Operation and Utility
Reporting to: Head Energy
Location: - Noida (Need to also Visit any Overseas Company Plant, if required for 10-15 days.)
Qualification: B. Tech / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 15 -20 years of experience in the relevant field of Power.
Job Purpose:
To manage uninterrupted power generation and distribution through efficient Operation and Maintenance of Captive Power Plant and Utility Area along with Project Management and Execution.
Job Responsibilities:
Power Generation & Distribution

• Ensure power generation from captive power plant (Gas and Oil)
• Ability to ensure uninterrupted power supply to the plant.
• Ensure availability of Fuel, Lubricants, Consumable in the plants
• Ensure smooth operation of Power House Equipment like Gas generators, HT Power Substation and its Power Distribution system
• Renewable Energy and Open access Power Management

Operation & Maintenance (Preventive & Breakdown) of Power Plant Equipments

• Ability to diagnose failure of Operational Equipment and perform preventive and corrective maintenance works including Emergency
• Repairs , assembly and Overhauling activities
• Operation & maintenance to ensure smooth running of Power Distribution equipments (DOL, Star-Delta, Motor overhauling, Transformers, ACB/VCB and LT/HT panels)
• Mechanical and Electrical Operation & Maintenance of Gas Engine / Diesel engines (Wartsila) / DRUPS (Rolls Royals)
• Troubleshooting & rectification of problem of Mechanical and electrical installation (WHRB, VAM, Heater, compressors, earthling system, battery & battery chargers, cabling etc.)
• Ensure best OEE Performance of Power Plant Equipment

Inventory / Spares Update

• To ensure adequate availability of emergency spare parts at all times.
• Ability to undertake quality check for all types of spares &
• Consumables.
• Ability to develop alternate vendors for quality spares. Monitor the use

Cost Effective Operations

• Ability to reduce spares and maintenance cost of Gas/ FO Engines.
• Ability to control spillage of fuel, oil, chemicals and water.
• To manage uninterrupted power generation for production units.

EHS

• Ensure & maintain safe environment inside & outside power plant.
• Ensure implementation of safety norms and procedures.
• Ensure safe handling of the equipments.
• Ensure fire safety norms adherence.
• Water and Effluent Management, Ensure statutory norms adherence pertaining to air, water & noise levels.

Technical Behavioral Skills

• Knowledge of Electro-Mechanical Equipment & Power Generators (Gas / Diesel based ) DRUPS
• Knowledge and hand on Experience of Gas Engines operation + Mechanical Maintenance Functions ( Major Overhauling , Preventive and Breakdown Maintenance w.r.t. Wartsila Gas Engines )
• Knowledge of sources of Power generation and fuel, Renewable Energy and Open Access Management
• Knowledge of Utilities Like Compressor , VAM , Chiller , Water and Effluent Management
• Able to generate creative/innovative solution in work solutions
• Ability to demonstrate customer service orientation both for external and internal customers
• Ability to foster team work at a systemic level in the organization
• Display sense of accountability and ownership of work and go beyond to achieve desired result
• Ability to tackle problem by using logical, systematic and sequential approach
• Display system and Process Orientation Approach
• Ability to communicate in logical and simple manner and develop shared understanding and consensus on the specific goal/
