Job Description


Position Title: Plant Operation Head - Fire & Safety
: The Plant Operation Head - Fire & Safety will oversee all aspects of fire prevention, safety protocols, and emergency response procedures within our manufacturing plant. They will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive fire safety programs to ensure the safety of personnel, equipment, and facilities. The Plant Operation Head will lead a team of fire safety professionals and collaborate with other departments to promote a culture of safety and compliance.
Responsibilities: * Develop and implement fire prevention and safety policies, procedures, and protocols in compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential fire hazards, safety risks, and areas for improvement.
  • Coordinate with relevant authorities to obtain necessary permits, licenses, and certifications related to fire safety and emergency preparedness.
  • Lead emergency response drills, training sessions, and simulations to prepare personnel for various scenarios.
  • Manage the installation, maintenance, and testing of fire detection, suppression, and evacuation systems.
  • Develop contingency plans and procedures for responding to fires, chemical spills, natural disasters, and other emergencies.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to ensure that fire safety requirements are integrated into plant design, construction, and modification projects.
  • Monitor and analyze fire safety performance metrics, trends, and compliance status.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the fire safety team, including training, coaching, and performance evaluation.
Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in fire science, occupational safety, engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Professional certification in fire safety, such as Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP), is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in fire prevention, safety management, and emergency response, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of fire codes, regulations, and standards, such as NFPA, OSHA, and local building codes.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve safety goals.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage resources effectively, and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Proficiency in computer applications and software used for fire safety management and reporting.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to emergencies outside of regular business hours.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of fire safety and emergency management.
