The objective of Ericsson Consulting is to deliver engagements that generate value for our customers and enable greater value to Ericsson.
We are looking for a highly experienced Strategy Consultant to lead the 5G & Enterprise Practice and to be part of the Global Consulting Leadership Team.
For this position, we need a highly regarded Business / Strategy Consulting professional with solid experience in working with Communication Service Provider (CSP) CxOs on 5G & Enterprise Monetization Strategies in areas such as 5G B2C, 5G B2B, Private Network, Network Slicing, Edge Compute, and Network Exposure. Experience in pure-play consulting is a must.
Good exposure to technology, operational and transformational consulting and familiarity with functional areas such as Enterprise, and Virtualization, is a big plus The Consulting Leader needs to be a:

  • Business leader with a strong impact on customers and senior executives
  • Sales leader with proven track record of engaging with clients, creating proposals and closing deals
  • Strategy leader with strong view on leading telecom trends and Consulting value propositions / offers
  • Portfolio leader with capability to identify, craft, sell and deliver Consulting propositions
  • Team leader who has a proven track record of growing teams, and managing senior 5G & Enterprise Strategy professionals; Additionally, being able to collaborate with peer Consulting leaders worldwide will be needed

You will be working with CxO at Ericsson customers – leading Telcos, and Enterprises – in various verticals such as Manufacturing, Ports, Mining, etc. These engagements will require you to be perceived by clients and colleagues as highly dependable and domain credible.
You will also be working with senior sales leaders at Ericsson sales units to understand the key pain points of Ericsson Sales Leaders and position Consulting engagements to CSPs and Enterprises in a way that enables a greater value for Ericsson.
To enable differentiated value propositions, you will collaborate with Ericsson colleagues from different business functions – Enterprise, Core, Networks, etc. – to create cross-functional and differentiated value propositions.
The role is Global and you will travel internationally based on customer demand.
What you will do
  • Drive the global P&L and key objectives of the 5G & Enterprise Consulting domain
  • Engage as thought leader with CSP CxOs to position, develop and close Consulting engagements
  • Leverage Ericsson strengths to identify, develop and manage global portfolio of leading and differentiated consulting value propositions / offerings in the 5G & Enterprise Consulting domain
  • Provide leadership and guidance to consulting projects / programs across the globe
  • Provide high-value industry insights by leveraging delivered projects and developed assets
  • Lead, develop and grow the 5G & Enterprise consulting team comprising senior members
  • Manage stakeholders in Consulting communities across geographies
  • As a Leader within Global Consulting Team, actively think and contribute outside your domain to reach overall Consulting objectives, and business success.
  • Provide high-value industry insights to Ericsson’s strategy process, using delivered projects and developed assets

You will bring

Domain Expertise Areas

  • Strong Understanding of 5G & Enterprise Strategy and Business Areas

  • Deep understanding of Telco 5G Business Opportunities
    • Across service categories (eMBB, FWA, mMTC, cMTC, 5G Use Cases such as Cloud Gaming, Enhanced Video Services, etc.)
    • Across segments such as consumer, multiple enterprise verticals/sizes, etc.
    • Across industries such as Manufacturing, Ports, Mining, etc.
    • Across 5G topics such as Private Networking, Slicing and Exposure, etc.

  • Proven Track of leading engagements defining 5G Go-to-market strategies for CSPs and Enterprises comprising Business Models, 5G Use Case / Product Value Propositions, Value Chain Play, Customer / Enterprise Segmentation, Pricing Strategies and TCO/Business Case
  • Strong business-oriented understanding of basic 5G proposition around Latency, Bandwidth etc. and key 5G technologies such as Network Slicing, Exposure, Edge Compute
  • Strong understanding of operator spectrum strategies and impact on 5G business
  • Good knowledge of the ground-breaking approaches towards 5G taken by the industry leaders and global early adopters across business, technology and deployment perspectives.
  • Fair Understanding of 5G Technologies and impact to 5G Strategy / Use cases
  • Knowledge of spectrum band considerations such as capacity and coverage as they relate to the support of use case categories
  • Knowledge of industry standards and architectures in the field of fixed and mobile networks (e.g., 3GPP, ETSI, IETF)
  • Good understanding of surrounding technical areas – such as Core, OSS and BSS – specifically, how they impact 5G use cases and vice-versa
  • Familiarity of RAN, Core, Orchestration, BSS and Transport evolution and the impact on 5G use case feasibility and monetization
  • Thorough appreciation of the challenges and impacts of transformation towards 5G

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of professional experience across Consulting and/or CSP Strategy Units with clear experience of running 5G Consulting engagements
  • Proven capability to sell and deliver Business Strategy related Consulting projects
  • Proven ability to excel in fact-based storytelling. Strong influencing skills and ability to shape a direction and set actions
  • Strong people and team leadership skill – Strong ability to coach and enable individual development and proven track record of team growth as well as operational management of team
  • Previous experience leading consulting business, Consulting practice and Consulting teams, including P&L accountability
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and high orientation towards innovation and learning
  • Experience and ability to work in international and cross-cultural environments selling and delivering complex engagements in cross-functional teams
  • Results-oriented and commercial thinking
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, and a Master’s in Business
  • Experience in pure-play consulting is a must.

Location & Travel:

  • This position is open for the following locations: Sweden, Spain, India, Turkey, and USA/Canada.
  • Expected travel is 50% based on business needs.
