We are looking for someone like that to help us: Drive standard and compliant process in line with DMSG requirements through close engagement with RTR GPO and GC Gdynia. Play a key role in ensuring we are delivering on key Service Levels / Key performance indicators and working in partnership with key stakeholders to drive improvement and highlight any dependencies / challenges. Perform regular risk assessment and mitigation plans for effective process health and efficiency. Assess performance against yearly goals and flag any risks/challenges. Additionally, drive Succession and competence development for employees regularly. Create learning opportunities and a diverse and inclusive working environment across regions. Local Unit & Position Description: The Global Shared Services (GSS) organization within DNV provides high quality, cost effective services and processes within Human Resources, Finance and IT, based on requirements defined by the business areas and Group. GSS also develops central competence for distinct services, projects and development and will support policy, procedures, and system implementation on a global, regional, and local level. GSS has shared service centers in Gdynia(Poland) and Pune(India). The Global Shared Service Centre Finance in Pune has been delivering high quality services to countries in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) ,India Sri Lanka and Bangladesh (ISB), North America and South East Asia regions related to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Record to Report and Tax & Accounting processes for the past 2 years We are looking for an experienced finance professional to take on the role as Head of Section for Record to Report (HoS RTR), who will play a key role in ensuring excellence regarding service delivery for Global Centre of DNV in Pune. The HoS RTR will report to the Pune Global Centre Finance Manager. The HoS RTR will be leading a team of approx. 35 accountants supporting the MEA, ISB, North America and Southeast Asia regions delivering record to report activities in line with contractual and Group Service Level Agreements. You will play a vital role in both the leadership and development of the finance stream in Pune, whilst also contributing to the continuous improvement of the record to report service deliveries and development. To succeed in this role, you will provide leadership, direction, and prioritization to your team. You need good people management skills, a customer centric mindset and the willingness to go the extra mile to contribute to the success of DNV. In your role you will: Manage a team of professionals delivering Record to Report services including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations using OneStream, Intercompany Accounting and year end submissions to Group functions in Norway. Driving timely reconciliation for all RTR assigned accounts and their approvals. Regular monitoring and focus on aged open items and driving effective and timely closure. Conduct Service reviews with regions reflecting performance of the stream based on defined KPIs Identifying non-conformity as per global process and outlining and executing action plan to mitigate these Facilitating audit and outlining effective action plan for timely closure audit findings Encouraging and driving continuous improvement culture in alignment with stakeholders to create value. Ensure Lean and standard processes are adapted throughout the Section and delivering an effective/ efficient service for the business Oversee and steer day to day operation and delegate responsibilities across your team. Build, coach and develop your team. Ensure that requests are handled with professionalism and positive service attitude while ensuring that delivery is according to defined SLA. Establish and maintain close and professional partnerships with internal stakeholders. Streamline internal processes to ensure the most efficient operational standards. Review and manage exception reports, KPIs, and other key indicators of performance/output. Work closely with the European Global Centre and find the best way to support the DNV organisation globally. Position Qualifications Master or Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration Chartered accountant or similar 10+ years\' experience in finance processing in a high-volume environment, preferably SSC/BPO environment At least 5+ years of management experience, preferably in managing leaders Demonstrated experience and general knowledge of accounting principles and accounting processes Knowledge of Oracle Business Suite preferred Experience with working in a multi-national organization Excellent English skills required, written and verbal To maximize your chances, you need: Excellent people management skills aligned with the DNV company values Excellent communication skills and cultural awareness Positive attitude, customer centric mindset and willingness to go the extra mile to meet organizational goals Ability to build good relationships with different stakeholders Attentive to detail and deadlines Company & Business Area Description DNV is the independent expert in assurance and risk management, operating in more than 100 countries.
