Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy and Execution:
Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue targets and market
penetration goals.
Identify and prioritize target markets and customer segments within the retail and e-
commerce technology space.
Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline through proactive prospecting, networking, and
relationship-building.
Customer Engagement and Relationship Management:
Cultivate and manage relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders at target
accounts.
Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and negotiations to close high-value deals.
Serve as a trusted advisor to customers, understanding their needs and providing tailored
solutions.
Team Leadership and Development:
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team, providing guidance and support to
achieve individual and team goals.
Foster a collaborative and results-driven sales culture, encouraging continuous learning and
professional growth.
Set clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance
reviews.
Market Intelligence and Competitive Analysis:
Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to
identify opportunities and threats.
Gather and analyze customer feedback, market data, and sales metrics to inform product
development and sales strategies.
Collaborate with the product management and marketing teams to refine value propositions
and messaging.
Sales Operations and Reporting:
Oversee sales operations, including forecasting, budgeting, and reporting.
Implement and manage sales processes, tools, and systems to enhance efficiency and
effectiveness.
Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure sales performance and
identify areas for improvement.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree
preferred.
7+ years of experience in B2B enterprise tech sales, preferably with a strong focus on retail
and e-commerce technology solutions.
Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Deep understanding of the retail and e-commerce technology landscape and customer
needs.
Ability to travel as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with SaaS or cloud-based products.
Established network within the retail and e-commerce technology industry.
Prior experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
