Plus Max Sago Industry is a leading manufacturer and exporter of high-quality sago starch products, serving the Textile, Food, Pharma, and Paper industries across domestic and international markets.
As part of our global expansion strategy, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Sales & Marketing to drive large-scale sales growth, strengthen international market presence, and contribute to the company's long-term development.
Objective
To lead and manage the end-to-end sales and marketing operations for starch products, with a primary focus on achieving annual sales targets set by the Board, expanding into new markets, and enhancing the company's brand and global reach.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Strategy & Target Achievement
Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve high-volume sales targets.
Ensure fulfillment of annual revenue goals as set by the Board.
Expand customer base and enter new domestic & international markets.
2. Team Leadership
Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing sales & marketing team.
Define KPIs, monitor performance, and drive accountability.
3. Customer Relationship Management
Foster long-term relationships with key customers, distributors, and stakeholders.
Ensure superior service levels and client satisfaction.
4. Market & Competitor Analysis
Conduct continuous market research on trends, competitors, and customer needs.
Adjust strategies to maintain a competitive advantage in the starch industry.
Lead high-value contract negotiations and finalize major deals.
6. Logistics & Coordination
Collaborate with production, logistics, and supply chain teams for timely delivery.
Align demand forecasting with production planning & inventory management.
7. Branding, Marketing & Representation
Drive branding, packaging, and digital marketing initiatives.
Represent the company in international trade fairs, expos, and business delegations.
8. Factory Development & Expansion
Support and contribute to factory expansion, modernization, and process improvement projects.
Identify opportunities for capacity building and operational efficiency.
9. Government Liaison & Subsidy Procurement
Engage with state and central government bodies to secure subsidies, incentives, and industrial grants.
Prepare proposals for relevant industrial support schemes and ensure timely follow-up.
10. Reporting
Generate regular performance reports on sales, market insights, and strategic initiatives.
Present recommendations to the Group Managing Director and Board.
Ideal Candidate Profile
MBA in Marketing or equivalent qualification
5+ years of proven experience in B2B / Industrial Sales & Marketing
Strong knowledge of starch/sago product applications
Expertise in international trade, exports, and distributor management
Established network in Textile, Food, Pharma, and Paper industries
Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and communication skills
Willingness to travel extensively (domestic & overseas)
