We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and dynamic Playschool Principal to lead our early childhood education center. The principal will serve as the chief administrator responsible for overseeing all aspects of the playschool operations, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment for children aged 1.5 to 6 years. This role requires a blend of educational leadership, administrative excellence, and a deep understanding of early childhood development.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESAcademic Leadership & Curriculum Development
Develop, implement, and continuously improve age-appropriate curricula aligned with early childhood education standards and best practices
Ensure curriculum follows play-based, Montessori, Reggio Emilia, or other recognized early learning methodologies
Monitor and evaluate teaching methods and learning outcomes
Stay updated with current educational trends, research, and innovations in early childhood education
Organize and conduct regular academic reviews and assessments
Plan and oversee academic and co-curricular activities, events, and celebrations
Staff Management & Development
Recruit, hire, train, and mentor qualified teachers and support staff
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback
Organize ongoing professional development programs, workshops, and training sessions
Schedule and facilitate staff meetings to discuss policies, curriculum, and student progress
Ensure appropriate teacher-to-student ratios are maintained as per regulatory requirements
Foster a positive, collaborative, and growth-oriented work culture
Coordinate CPR, First Aid, and child safety training for all staff members
Student Welfare & Development
Ensure the overall safety, health, and well-being of all children
Create and maintain a warm, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
Monitor individual child development and provide guidance to teachers for personalized attention
Address behavioral or developmental concerns with appropriate intervention strategies
Oversee special needs education and inclusion programs if applicable
Facilitate smooth transitions for children moving to primary school
Parent Relations & Communication
Serve as the primary point of contact for parents regarding school policies, programs, and their child's progress
Conduct orientation sessions for new parents and students
Organize regular parent-teacher meetings and open houses
Maintain transparent and timely communication through newsletters, apps, emails, and meetings
Address parents' concerns and grievances professionally and promptly
Build strong partnerships with families to support children's holistic development
Organize parent workshops on child development, parenting, and early education
Operational & Administrative Management
Oversee daily operations including scheduling, attendance, meal planning, and transportation (if applicable)
Manage school calendar, including academic year planning, holidays, and events
Ensure compliance with all state/national licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and legal requirements
Maintain accurate student records, enrollment data, and documentation
Oversee facility maintenance and ensure a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment
Implement and enforce school policies, procedures, and disciplinary guidelines
Coordinate with healthcare professionals for regular health check-ups and hygiene protocols
Manage emergency preparedness plans and conduct regular safety drills
Community Engagement & Marketing
Represent the school at community events, educational forums, and networking opportunities
Develop and maintain the school's reputation and brand image
Oversee marketing initiatives and enrollment drives
Manage school websites, social media presence, and promotional materials
Build partnerships with local organizations, pediatricians, and early childhood networks
Coordinate with local authorities and education departments as required
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSEducation
Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, Child Development, Education, or related field (Mandatory) OR
Master's degree in early childhood education, Educational Leadership, or Child Psychology OR
B.Ed. / M.Ed. qualification OR
Diploma in Pre-Primary Teacher Training
Experience
Minimum 5-7 years of experience in early childhood education
Minimum 3-5 years in a leadership role (Principal, Vice Principal)
Proven track record of successfully managing a playschool or preschool
Experience in curriculum development and teacher training

Social media and digital marketing knowledge (Preferred)

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Full-time position with standard school hours (typically 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
May require occasional evening or weekend work for events, meetings, or emergencies
Office-based with regular movement throughout classrooms and outdoor play areas
Interaction with children, parents, staff, and external stakeholders daily
Exposure to childhood illnesses and allergens
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Salary Range: ₹3,60,000 per annum
Annual Bonus: 10% annual Variable Bonus to be paid on yearly basis at the end of every academic term basis individual + Institution performance
