OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of PMO to join our People Change & Transformation team in Hyderabad. You will lead our Program Management Office, focusing on people-centric initiatives. This role is crucial for aligning the program roadmap and project management practices with Flutter's strategic goals, ensuring successful execution of projects and enhancing overall project delivery efficiency. You will provide a holistic view of priorities across the HR portfolio, establish robust governance, and drive a culture of excellence in project delivery. This role is responsible for bringing structure to the project lifecycle, influencing executive-level decisions, and enabling teams to deliver on key strategic initiatives that directly impact our people and culture.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Vision & Portfolio Management: Develop and implement a clear vision for the PMO that aligns with the company's strategic HR and people goals. You will establish and manage a comprehensive portfolio management framework to track and prioritize all HR programs and projects. The role also involves overseeing and aligning multiple programs and projects with business vision and priorities.
Governance & Standardization: Design, implement, and maintain a strong governance model to ensure the success of HR projects and people transformation programs. This includes setting up and embedding frameworks, policies, and reporting mechanisms to drive consistency. You will standardize project management practices by overseeing a library of templates, tools, and methodologies.
Performance Tracking & Reporting: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and a robust performance tracking system. You will provide clear, concise, and regular reports to senior leadership and the Executive Committee (Exco) on the status, health, and progress of the entire HR project portfolio. The role also requires defining KPIs, tracking benefits, and ensuring delivery against outcomes.
Communication & Influence: Serve as a key advisor to the HR operations and transformation leadership team, providing strategic insights on people and culture initiatives. You must be able to articulate complex ideas with global stakeholders and influence decision-making at the highest level. This includes influencing and managing relationships with senior leaders, sponsors, and cross-functional teams.
Leadership & Team Development: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of project managers and program managers. You will provide subject matter expertise, mentorship, and professional development support to team members. This role is responsible for leading, coaching, and maturing the PMO function and building capability across the team.
Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to ensure successful delivery. This includes proactive identification, mitigation, and escalation across the portfolio.
Financial & Resource Management: Oversee budgets, resourcing, and ensure the efficient use of investment.
Change & Transformation: The role requires a strong change and transformation mindset to support large-scale transformations and ensure the PMO adds value beyond simple reporting.
