Position Summary:

The Head of Pilot Academy is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of flight training operations. This includes curriculum development, instructor performance, regulatory compliance, student success, and overall growth of the academy. The ideal candidate is a seasoned aviation professional with a passion for leadership, training, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide strategic direction and operational leadership across all training programs

Ensure full compliance with national aviation authority regulations

Develop and update syllabi, training policies, and standard operating procedures

Supervise and mentor a team of Chief Flight Instructors, Flight Instructors, and administrative staff

Foster a culture of safety, professionalism, and continuous improvement

Oversee budget planning, resource allocation, and KPI tracking for training effectiveness

Collaborate with regulatory bodies, partner airlines, and industry stakeholders

Represent the academy at aviation forums, conferences, and recruitment events

Ensure high levels of student satisfaction, retention, and placement

Qualifications:

Commercial Pilot License with Instructor certifications (CFI, CFII, or equivalent)

Minimum of 1500 total flight hours (ATP preferred)

Proven leadership experience in a flight school or aviation training environment

In-depth knowledge of aviation training standards and regulatory requirements

Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills

Ability to lead, motivate, and manage diverse teams

Bachelor's degree in Aviation, Management, or related field (Master's preferred)
