The Role
We're looking for a dynamic Head of People (HR) Operations to lead our People Team and drive continuous improvement across recruitment, HR systems, and compliance.
As Head of People (HR) Operations, you will:
Lead the delivery of Via's People Team Workplan.
Be the organisational expert on Safer Recruitment and develop our recruitment strategies.
Oversee HR systems, processes, and compliance to ensure a positive employee experience.
You'll manage and develop the People Operations team, covering Recruitment, Administration, and Payroll, while driving continuous improvement across all aspects of the employee lifecycle.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking someone who brings:
A passion for working with socially excluded or vulnerable groups.
Significant experience in HR operations leadership, ideally within the charity or non-profit sector.
Expertise in Safer Recruitment and talent acquisition.
Proven success in managing HR systems and delivering meaningful data insights.
Strong leadership, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
A process improvement mindset to enhance operational efficiency.
Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law and regulatory requirements
Emotional intelligence and the ability to foster a high-performing, supportive team culture.
Excellent time management and prioritisation skills in a fast-paced environment.
A CIPD qualification (Level 5 or above) or equivalent (preferred).
