The Head of Merchandising & Sales is responsible for leading the merchandising function, driving sales growth, and ensuring seamless alignment between market demand, product development, and operational execution. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, & a deep understanding of retail trends, consumer behaviour, & supply chain dynamics.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of merchandisers to achieve business goals and maintain high performance standards.
Strategic Planning:
Develop and implement effective merchandising strategies that align with current market trends, customer insights, and business objectives.
Product Development:
Oversee the entire product lifecycle--from sampling to shipment--ensuring product quality, timely deliveries, and cost efficiency.
Inventory & Sales Management:
Analyze sales data, forecast demand, and optimize inventory levels to maximize turnover and profitability.
Cross-Functional Coordination:
Collaborate closely with design, production, and marketing teams to ensure smooth workflow and cohesive brand direction.
Problem Solving:
Anticipate and resolve supply chain or production issues to maintain seamless operations and customer satisfaction.
Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience in merchandising and sales management.
Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
Deep understanding of market trends and consumer behavior.
