Urgent hiring for Head of Finance

Position: Head of Finance

Reports To: General Manager / Directors

Experience- 8+ years

Ctc- upto 12 Lpa (depends on interview )

Working Days -6 days (10am-7 pm)/ (11am-8 pm )

Location: Indore

Role Summary

The Head of Finance is a senior leadership role responsible for the overall financial health and strategic direction of the retail or furniture mall. This individual will oversee all financial operations, including planning, budgeting, reporting, and analysis, to ensure the company's financial stability and growth. The ideal candidate will be a strategic partner to the executive team, providing insights and recommendations to support key business decisions and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Strategy and Planning:

Develop and implement the company's financial strategy, aligning it with business goals. Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, coordinating with department heads. Conduct financial modelling and analysis to evaluate new business opportunities, investments, and capital expenditures. Identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational efficiency to improve profitability.
2. Financial Management and Operations:

Oversee all daily financial operations, including accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and treasury management. Manage cash flow, working capital, and investment decisions to ensure sufficient liquidity. Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Implement and maintain robust internal controls and financial procedures to safeguard company assets.
3. Reporting and Analysis:

Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports to the executive team and board of directors. Analyze key financial metrics and performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to the retail industry, such as sales per square foot, gross margin return on investment (GMROI), and inventory turnover. Provide insightful analysis on business performance, identifying trends, variances, and actionable recommendations.
4. Compliance and Risk Management:

Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal financial regulations, tax laws, and accounting standards (e.g., GAAP). Coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and ensure proper financial governance. Identify and mitigate financial risks, including credit risk, market risk, and operational risk.
5. Leadership and Team Management:

Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting teams. Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement within the finance department. Collaborate with other departmental heads (e.g., Sales, Operations, Marketing) to drive cross-functional projects and support business objectives.
Qualifications & Skills

A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required. A Master's degree (MBA) or a professional certification such as a CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) is highly preferred.
? Experience:

Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 3-5 years in a senior management role, ideally within the retail or real estate industry.
? Technical Skills:

Expertise in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting. Proficiency with financial software, ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and advanced spreadsheet skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel). Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
? Soft Skills:

Exceptional leadership and team-building abilities. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders. High degree of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
