Position Overview:

The

Head of Finance

will lead the financial strategy, planning, management, and compliance for the organization. This role requires strong leadership and a deep understanding of nonprofit financial practices, regulatory frameworks, and donor requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Strategy & Planning

Develop and oversee the organization's financial strategy in alignment with strategic goals Prepare annual budgets and forecasts in coordination with program and leadership teams Lead the financial planning process and guide resource allocation decisions

Accounting & Compliance

Ensure timely and accurate maintenance of books of accounts (Tally or ERP) Ensure compliance with statutory requirements: Income Tax, FCRA, GST, PF, ESI Oversee annual audits, internal audits, and donor-specific audits

Donor & Grant Management

Monitor fund utilization and prepare financial reports for donors and stakeholders Assist program teams in budgeting for proposals and tracking fund disbursement Ensure timely reporting as per donor/CSR requirements

Team Leadership & Coordination

Lead, mentor, and manage the finance team Work closely with other department heads and senior management Liaise with the Board, auditors, banks, and legal advisors

Qualifications & Experience:

M.com or MBA Finance preferred 10-15 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a senior finance leadership role in the development/nonprofit sector In-depth knowledge of FCRA, Income Tax, CSR compliance, and donor reporting Strong working knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho) Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills
