Role Overview

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be a key member of the leadership team, responsible for driving the company's financial strategy, governance, and long-term sustainability. The role will focus on managing investor relations, setting up robust MIS systems, enabling growth through joint ventures (JVs) and partnerships, and ensuring financial discipline as we scale.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Financial Leadership

o Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the company's growth objectives.

o Provide financial insights and analysis to support decision-making by the CEO and Board.

o Lead long-term financial planning, forecasting, and capital allocation.

Financial Operations & MIS

o Build and lead a high-performing finance team.

o Set up and manage comprehensive Management Information Systems (MIS) for real-time

business insights.

o Oversee budgeting, financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls.

o Ensure adherence to statutory, tax, and audit requirements.

Investor and Stakeholder Management

o Manage relationships with existing investors and potential funding partners.

o Prepare and present investor reports, board packs, and fundraising documentation.

o Support due diligence, valuation, and compliance during funding rounds.

Joint Ventures & Growth Initiatives

o Lead financial evaluation and structuring of joint ventures, partnerships, and new business

models.

o Support business development with financial feasibility, risk assessment, and ROI analysis.

o Negotiate and execute strategic agreements from a financial standpoint.

Governance & Risk

o Ensure strong governance, risk management, and corporate compliance frameworks.

o Liaise with legal, compliance, and company secretarial teams as required.

Candidate Profile

Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 2-3 years in a senior
finance leadership role.

Industry: Experience in education, sports, media, startups, or consumer-focused sectors
preferred.

Education: CA or MBA (Finance) from a reputed institution. Skills:
o Strong command of financial systems, MIS tools, and performance dashboards.

o Demonstrated ability to work with investors, boards, and cross-functional teams.

o Experience in managing scale-up phases, JVs, and external partnerships.

o Strategic thinker with hands-on operational capability.
