Role Overview

As the Head of Engineering, you will lead end-to-end product engineering--including frames, battery packs, BMS, and powertrain systems--while ensuring manufacturability, quality, and performance. You will steer Nexzu's technology roadmap, R&D initiatives, and engineering governance, and manage engineering services for our sister concern.

Key Responsibilities

Product & Systems Engineering

Lead complete engineering for ECCs: mechanical, electrical, electronics & powertrain.

Oversee design, prototyping, validation & production readiness.

Drive system integration and vehicle-level performance.

Manufacturing & Vendor Engineering

Ensure DFM/DFC, quality, and engineering governance for outsourced components.

Support vendor development, defect reduction & cost optimization.

Engineering Processes & Governance

Establish standards, documentation, testing protocols & controls.

Implement DFMEA, PFMEA, DVP&R, APQP, PPAP, simulation-led design.

Ensure compliance with ECC safety and regulatory norms.

Innovation & Technology Development

Build and execute technology roadmap: frames, batteries, powertrain, connectivity.

Lead R&D and continuous improvement initiatives.

Team Leadership

Build, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary engineering team.

Drive performance, collaboration, and high-quality execution.

Cross-Company Engineering Support

Oversee engineering deliverables for sister concern with clear frameworks and SLAs.

Qualifications

B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Automotive Engineering.
12-20 years of experience in engineering leadership--preferably EVs, e-cycles, automotive, or manufacturing.

Strong expertise in EV systems, product development, validation, manufacturing processes & quality tools.

Proficiency in CAD/CAE, simulation, system integration, and engineering documentation.
