We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Head of Engineering to lead our technology organization and drive innovation across all engineering functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in software engineering and proven leadership experience as an Engineering Manager, SDE, or CTO. You will play a key role in defining the technical vision, guiding architectural decisions, and building high-performing engineering teams to deliver world-class software solutions.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Leadership: Define and implement the company's engineering vision, architecture, and technical roadmap aligned with business objectives.
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of engineers and engineering managers to achieve technical excellence and deliver scalable, reliable, and maintainable solutions.
  • Engineering Execution: Oversee software design, development, and deployment processes while ensuring high standards of code quality, testing, and performance.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with product, design, and business teams to align technology initiatives with customer and business needs.
  • Innovation: Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies to improve efficiency, product quality, and developer productivity.
  • Scalability: Architect systems that can scale with growing user demands, ensuring robustness, security, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Culture & Process: Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the engineering organization.
  • Stakeholder Management: Partner with leadership to translate product strategy into engineering deliverables and provide technical insights for business decisions.
  • Recruitment & Growth: Build a strong engineering talent pipeline and implement career development frameworks to nurture internal growth.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Proven Leadership: 3-12 years of experience in software engineering, including at least 2+ years in a leadership role (Engineering Manager, Head of Engineering, or CTO).
  • Technical Expertise: Strong hands-on background as a Software Development Engineer (SDE) with expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining complex systems.
  • Architectural Vision: Deep understanding of software architecture, system design, scalability, and performance optimization.
  • Full-Stack Understanding: Familiarity with modern backend and frontend technologies, cloud infrastructure, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to align technology strategy with business goals and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • People Management: Demonstrated experience leading and scaling engineering teams, setting clear goals, and mentoring engineers to success.
  • Agile Practices: Experience in agile methodologies, sprint planning, and delivery management.
  • Ownership Mindset: Strong sense of accountability, decision-making capability, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in a startup or product-based company.
  • Exposure to cloud-native architectures (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Experience building and scaling B2B or B2C platforms.
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
