About Fam (previously FamPay)
Fam is India's first payments app for everyone above 11. FamApp helps make online and offline payments through UPI and FamCard. We are on a mission to raise a new, financially aware generation, and drive 250 million+ youngest users in India to kickstart their financial journey super early in their life.
Founded in 2019 by IIT Roorkee alumni, Fam is backed by some of the most respected investors around the world like Elevation Capital, Y-Combinator, Peak XV (Sequoia Capital) India, Venture Highway, Global Founder's Capital and the likes of Kunal Shah, Amrish Rao as angel investors.
About this Role
Design, for us, is a solution! Not mere art.
With a product that's aimed at teenagers, design is at the centre of our offering. Therefore, it would not be an exaggeration to say that we will perish without a world class user experience and delight.
As a Design Head, you'd be responsible for realizing our vision from research to production - having a head for strategy and a desire to provide a voice for design as well as having the skills and willingness to get involved with the details of making a great product.
Must Haves

• Strong experience in consumer products.
• Excellent design craft backed by a solid portfolio.
• Strong product and business acumen.
• Proven experience working on brands.
• Strong ability to think user-backwards.
• Strong user advocacy in trade-off decisions.
• Experience in team management and mentoring.
• Bias for action with fast, informed decision-making.

On the Job

• Be the user's advocate.
• Collaborate directly with founders and leadership group.
• Lead and grow the design team.
• Work with product, marketing, brand, engineering, research teams.
• Evangelise Fam's mission, vision, and design philosophy.
