Academic Head - Head of Academics (GeM Training Programs)

Role Summary
The Academic Head is responsible for the strategic planning, execution, governance, and continuous improvement of all academic programs of the GeM Training Academy. This includes multi-level certification programs, university-aligned courses, and corporate training offerings.
The role ensures that curriculum design, training delivery, assessments, and learning outcomes remain fully aligned with GeM portal updates, Government Procurement Rules (GFR), applicable policies, and the Academy's certification and 100% placement commitments.
Design, structure, and periodically update all certification programs and course modules (Foundation to Consultant level) in line with GeM portal updates, GFR provisions, and government procurement frameworks.
Define clear learning outcomes for each module, including e-bidding, catalogue creation, reverse auction, SDAC/CRAC, SLA management, compliance, and contract management.
Ensure that training materials, presentations, simulations, exercises, and case studies directly support defined learning objectives.
2. Training Calendar & Batch Management
Prepare and manage annual and monthly academic calendars across all training centers and university partners, including batch schedules, course duration, delivery modes (weekend, evening, online, hybrid, accelerated), and assessment timelines.
Allocate Training Facilitators and Guest Lecturers to batches, ensuring optimal faculty utilization, avoidance of scheduling conflicts, and adequate academic coverage for campus, corporate, and public programs.
3. Delivery Quality & Student Satisfaction
Monitor classroom and online delivery quality through session observations, recorded session reviews, assessment outcomes, and structured student feedback.
Track academic KPIs such as attendance, completion rates, certification pass percentages, learner satisfaction scores, and placement readiness.
Implement corrective actions and improvement measures where performance benchmarks are not achieved.
4. Trainer & Guest Faculty Management
Identify, evaluate, onboard, and retain qualified Training Facilitators, Senior Trainers, and Guest Lecturers with proven expertise in GeM and government procurement.
Define and monitor trainer KPIs covering content accuracy, delivery effectiveness, learner feedback, and batch outcomes.
Conduct periodic performance reviews and implement mentoring, upskilling, or replacement decisions as required.
5. Assessment & Examination Management
Design, approve, and maintain question banks, practical lab exercises, capstone projects, and case-based assignments for all certification levels and specializations.
Oversee end-module and final examinations, including paper setting, secure handling, invigilation standards, evaluation, result declaration, re-evaluation processes, and certification issuance in coordination with the administration team.
6. Industry & Expert Integration and Training Centre Collaboration
Develop and manage a panel of industry experts, including successful GeM sellers, procurement consultants, government officials, and corporate buyers, for guest lectures, workshops, and masterclasses.
Collaborate with training centers and academy partners to facilitate physical and hybrid training programs.
Integrate real-world tender documents, live GeM cases, bid samples, and post-award execution scenarios into academic delivery to enhance practical relevance and employability.
7. Student Feedback & Continuous Improvement
Implement structured feedback systems at multiple stages, including session-wise, module-wise, course completion, and post-placement feedback.
Analyse feedback trends and academic performance data, prepare improvement recommendations for the Academy Director, and implement approved changes in curriculum, pedagogy, assessment patterns, and batch structures.
8. Academic Governance, Documentation & Compliance
Maintain updated academic SOPs, course files, lesson plans, attendance records, assessment data, and trainer rosters to support internal audits, university collaborations, and accreditation requirements (NSDC, ISO, or equivalent).
Coordinate with Technology and Administration teams to ensure classroom readiness, LMS content availability, access to practice environments/sandboxes, and timely distribution of training materials.
Qualifications & Compensation
Educational Qualification:
B.Com / BBA / B.Tech or equivalent, with a strong understanding of business processes, procurement, e-commerce, or public procurement systems.
Experience:
Minimum 5+ years of experience in training delivery or academic management, preferably within government procurement, GeM operations, or professional skill-development ecosystems.
Compensation:
Monthly Fixed Salary:
?15,000 - ?18,000
Incentives:
Performance-linked incentives based on academic KPIs, certification outcomes, and placement performance, as per Academy policy.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
