: - HEAD MUSHROOM GROWER

INTRODUCTION

Since 2012 Tru Prime Pvt. Ltd. has operated Punjab's largest 2000 head dairy farm, mostly HF, at Majara about 32km from and 8 km from Ahmedgarh.

The company now seeks to diversify into growing chamber multi-tier organic mushroom cultivation using captive cow manure as the principal substrate component.

The venture will consist of multiple growing chambers cultivating a variety of mushrooms, including button, oyster, paddy straw and shiitake using internally generated spawn and industry leading practices.

The company will also develop and cultivate medicinal mushrooms.

Spent mushroom substrate (SMS) will be processed in an accompanying vermicomposting facility.

The company will service both domestic and international markets, with exports dominating from year 3.

Company products will be both packaged / branded and bulk for institutional customers.

The company will develop partner farms with the supply of turnkey facilities and inoculated substrate and the buyback of SMS and bulk mushrooms.

Job Summary:-

TheHead Mushroom Growerwill be responsible for overseeing the cultivation, monitoring, and management of multi-chamber, multi-tier mushroom farming systems. The role ensures optimal crop yield, substrate preparation, spawn quality, and adherence to organic farming, hygiene, and safety standards while supporting research, innovation, and farmer training initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:-

Lead and oversee multi-chamber, multi-tier organic mushroom cultivation operations.
Manage the cultivation of different mushroom varieties: button, oyster, paddy straw, shiitake, and medicinal mushrooms.
Develop and optimize substrate formulations using cow manure and other organic inputs.
Supervise the spawn production unit and ensure the highest quality standards.
Implement best practices in crop management, pest/disease control, and climate regulation.
Guide and train farm staff and partner farmers on mushroom cultivation techniques.
Ensure compliance with quality, hygiene, and safety protocols for domestic and export markets.
Collaborate with R&D teams to introduce innovative cultivation and processing methods.
Monitor and manage post-harvest handling, packaging, and value addition.
Support the marketing team with technical expertise for branding and product positioning.

Qualifications & Experience:-

Degree/Diploma in Agriculture, Horticulture, Microbiology, Biotechnology, or Food Technology (specialization in mushrooms preferred).
8 to 10 years of hands-on experience in commercial mushroom cultivation, preferably in multi-chamber, multi-tier systems.
Strong knowledge of spawn production, composting, substrate preparation, and disease management.
Experience with organic and sustainable farming practices.
Ability to manage large-scale production facilities and train staff.
